Reverse Image Search
We look for many answers on google but many people don’t know that you can directly reverse search images on Google image search site.
You can drag and drop images here.
After you insert the images, Google will show you visually similar images.
This may not always work but you could use our tips and ideas from later in this article to exactly find what you’re looking for.
Using quotes “ “ for Exact search
For keyword matching and usage, there are :
Broad match: Broad match uses related terms while searching
For eg: when you search for Dell laptops on google you also get results for other OEM laptops with dell laptops.
Phrase match: Phrase match tightens the output by only showing the results you looked for. This can be achieved by using quotes “ “.
As you can see using the quotes lowered the results from 4580000 to 2870.
You can now use this trick to find the answer to a question you are looking to solve :
Use conditions:
Use signs :and, or, +, -, $
Using ‘-’: You can use – sign to exclude something you don’t want to search.
Syntax : (keywords you are looking for) – (keywords you don’t want in results)
Example: apple – fruit, mustang -car, download name.pdf -amazon
Using ‘+’: You can use + to add keywords.
Syntax : (keyword 1 you’re looking for) + (keyword 2 you’re looking for)
Example: introduction to electrical engineering + person’s
Using ‘@’: find someone’s social media links.
Syntax: @name
Example: @Ioesyllabus
Using ‘#’: to find contents in social media sites that have been uploaded using the same hashtag directly from google.
I guess you already know about using # in other social media sites but Google is integrating more sites into google search i.e. you can even find videos of TikTok on Google search page.
Using ‘*’: to find even if you don’t know the complete phrase or sentence.
How many times have you forgotten lyrics of a song or a quote? You can use * to fill in the gaps and google will show you all possible results you can use condition after the sentence to get better results.
Time
You can search time of any city or place in google and even compare with other places

You can look up weather of any city or place on google. You can use Google voice for easier access.

Set timer and stopwatch
You can set a timer and stopwatch directly from google search. Use this to study and focus for a set amount of time without getting distracted by using full-screen feature.
Math calculations
You can search different algebraic and trigonometric calculations directly on google and google will show the output on top. Other than that you can also find graphs.

Unit conversion and currency
You can convert different units directly in google. Here’s the list of values you can convert.
Other than that you can also convert different currencies among countries and cryptocurrencies.
Translation and definition
You might already be using google to check the spelling of words you are unsure about but you can take this to next level by checking definition and etymology of the words. This will help you understand the origin of the word and break down its meaning which will help you remember longer.
You can also translate the sentences or even documents on google translate. Other than that on google search or google phone app you can do live translations.
